The photo at the top of the page was taken by Chet in Midland, TX a couple of years ago. We have made several trips to Midland visiting our siblings, and it turns out to be a really cool place. Sure, the summer days are super-hot, but every evening there's a light breeze with no humidity to weigh down the air. And, while there may be some mosquitos, they don't seem to be nearly as bad as some regions of the US... so you can actually hang out on the patio or other outdoor venue for most of the evening. Good times, indeed!
